Special Olympics New Hampshire

The Hollis Police Department takes an active role in supporting Special Olympics in New Hampshire. Sergeant Tracy Dunne joined the department in 2002 and from 2007 until her retirmeent, she volunteered to help support Special Olympics of New Hampshire (SONH). She first started by raising money by participating in the "Polar Plunge" in 2007 at Hampton Beach. She then began volunteering at the Special Olympics Summer and Winter Games where she would present medals to athletes, attend various events and serve meals to the athletes and their families. Sgt. Dunne retired from the Hollis Police Department in 2015. Now, Officer Megan McLynch and Chief Joseph Hoebeke have stepped to carry on the tradition of service by members of the Hollis Police Department to SONH.

In June 2019, members of the Hollis Police Department joined members of the Nashua and Milford Police Departments for the Law Enforcement Torch Run.
