Voter Registration Information
What to Bring:
Proof of Identity - an approved picture ID such as a driver’s license AND
Proof of Citizenship - either a birth certificate or a passport AND
Proof of Domicile - such as vehicle registration, a recent bill or mail received at your current Hollis address

You can prove your identity, age, and/or citizenship by signing a Qualified Voter Affidavit, under oath, in front of an election official if you do not have documents.
Four ways to Register to Vote:
Register in person at the Town Clerk's office up to 10 days before any election
In New Hampshire, no one is permitted to register to vote during the ten days prior to an election. This allows the Town Clerk time to update and print the checklists used at the polls on election day.

Register With Supervisors of the Checklist
They meet at designated times to accept registrations and changes in party affiliation.
Meeting times are posted on the town website, Town Hall bulletin board and in the Hollis Brookline Journal.
Next Meeting:
Thursday April 11, 2024 from 2:30pm-3:00pm Town Hall Community Room. Supervisors of the checklist will be in session for the purpose of accepting new voter registrations and/or correcting the voter checklist.

You may register absentee, by mail
If you are unable to register in person because of physical disability, religious beliefs, military service, or because of temporary absence, you may register by mail.
Absentee ballots are not available for Town Meeting or School Meetings, just Elections.
You need to request an absentee voter registration affidavit and a standard voter registration from the Town Clerk. This request MUST be made in writing to the Town Clerk.

You will be mailed the following 3 documents which need to be completed and mailed back to the Town Clerk.
- New Hampshire Voter Registration Form: Complete entire form, read and sign affidavit. Please provide a local phone number in the space on the right (for official use) in case a Supervisor of the Checklist needs to contact you.
- Absentee Registration Form
- Absentee - Not Registered to Vote Notice (RSA 654:16)
