Cable Advisory Committee

PURPOSE AND GOALS: 

Advise the Board of Selectmen regarding matters relating to cable TV and internet service.  Specific recent accomplishments include:

  1. negotiated a new cable TV, internet, telephone contract with TDS
  2. negotiated a new cable TV, internet contract with Charter

REGULAR MEETING: 

As needed; Town Hall Community Room

MEMBERSHIP:

3 regular members appointed by the Board of Selectmen, plus the Town Administrator a Selectmen's representative

CRITERIA FOR MEMBERSHIP:

Have an interest in monitoring and improving cable TV and broadband service in Hollis. 

Experience in the following areas is not necessary, but would be a plus:

    a. technical knowledge of cable, internet and telephone systems.

    b. contract negotiation skills.
