August 3, 2021, Beginning at 6 PM, Nichols Field
NNO

On Tuesday, August 3rd, neighborhoods through the Town of Hollis are being invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the “38th Annual National Night Out” (NWO) crime and drug prevention event.  National Night Out, which is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) and co-sponsored locally by the Hollis Police Department, Hollis Recreation, and Hollis Social Library, will involve over 17,000 communities in all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases around the world.

National Night Out is designed to: (1) Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; (2) Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts; (3) Strengthen community spirit and police/community partnerships; and (4) To further strengthen the Town of Hollis as a safe and thriving community.

Beginning at 6 PM on August 3, 2021, the Hollis Police Department, in partnership with the Hollis Recreation Commission and the Hollis Social Library, will host our first ever National Night Event.  The event will be held on Nichols Field just behind the Lawrence Barn, and will feature fun activities like bounce houses, music, and a movie night.  We will also have a cookout and other treats for those in attendance.  This is a family event aimed at strengthening relationships between our community and members of the Police Department.  Children of all ages, and their families, are invited to attend.  THERE IS NO COST to attend the event and all food items will be free.

Hollis Police Chief Joseph Hoebeke said, “This is a night for our community to come together and stand for unity and the promotion of safety and awareness.   As we know, police/community partnerships are vital in creating a safe environment for our residents, while helping us continue the trend of Hollis being one of the safest communities in the State of New Hampshire.  Following a year where we were restricted from doing many of the community events that are so important to our police department, we look forward to gathering and enjoying the company of our friends and neighbors.”

We hope you consider attending this event, and we ask that you visit our Facebook page so you can indicate whether you plan on attending!  If you have any questions about the National Night Out Event, or you are interested in making a donation to be used for the purchasing of items, please contact Master Patrol Officer Richard Bergeron at (603) 465-7637.
