Motor Vehicle Accident - Broad Street

On June 5th, 2019 at approximately 8:50AM, members of the Hollis Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash on Broad St, in the area of Wright Rd. The on scene investigation revealed that a Buick Verano, driven by Patricia Jones, age 69, of Bourne Mass, was traveling eastbound on Broad St when it crossed the opposite lane of travel and  left the roadway, where it struck a utility pole and rolled onto its side. The utility pole was broken as a result of the crash, which caused the roadway to be shut down for a lengthy period of time.

The driver was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. The crash remains under investigation, although speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors at this time. Anyone with any information regarding this crash is asked to contact Officer Lucas Ilges at 603-465-7637.
