Political Event at Nichols Field

On Friday, September 27, 2019, beginning at 4:00 PM, Sen. Elizabeth Warren will be holding a campaign event at Nichols Field.  In anticipation of this event, we will be posting no parking signs in areas of Richardson Road, Depot Road, Orchard Drive, and Merrill Lane.  The signs will be posted consistent with how they are posted for Old Home Days.  Please do not park in areas marked as No Parking, as we need to ensure the free movement of traffic for safe passage and emergencies.   Those who park in restricted areas will be ticketed. 

There are likely to be around 400 individuals or more at this event, and parking will likely be limited.  If you plan on attending the event, please consider carpooling or having someone drop you off.  If you live nearby, please consider walking. 

Due to the event, all Hollis recreation activities will be moved to the high school or middle school fields.  As such, parking for those attending the campaign event being held by Sen. Warren will not be allowed to park at the high school or middle school, as parking will be for parents/those participating in recreation department, high school, and middle school related activities. 

If you are traveling in the area of Depot Road near Nichols Field on Friday afternoon and into Friday evening, please drive carefully and be alert for increased numbers of pedestrians and motor vehicle traffic.
