On Wednesday 2/27/19 at 3:45 PM, The Hollis Police and Fire Departments were called to the intersection of Pine Hill Road and Broad Street for the report of a man unconscious in a vehicle.  The responding officers and medical personnel located the man passed out with the car in drive but stationary.  The roadside investigation determined that the man was under the influence of alcohol and ultimately not in need of medical attention.  As a result, Byron Lepine, age 34 of Nashua was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.  Lepine submitted to a chemical test while in custody which revealed his blood alcohol concentration to be in excess of .16 (twice the legal limit of .08).  As a result his charges were upgraded to Aggravated DUI, Class A Misdemeanor.

At approximately 2:00 AM on Friday 3/1/19 Officer Lucas Ilges stopped a car on Route 111 for a speeding violation.  After speaking with the driver and conducting roadside field sobriety tests it was determined that Ariel Luis Gonzalez Jr., age 27 of Fitchburg, MA was also intoxicated and arrested for Driving Under the Influence.  While searching Gonzalez pursuant to the arrest a small amount of cocaine was found in Gonzalez's pocket which resulted in him also being charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Drug.

Both Lepine and Gonzalez were released on bail and are to be arraigned on March 13th in the 9th Circuit Court Nashua District and on March 14th in the Hillsborough County Superior Court South in Nashua, respectively.  Gonzalez's case will be prosecuted in the Superior Court as a result of the felony charge he is facing.
