The Hollis Police Department takes impaired driving seriously, with no exceptions on Saint Patrick's Day or any other holiday.

On March 17, 2023, the Hollis Police Department staffed a grant funded patrol for the purposes of targeting impaired driving offenses. At approximately 10:50 PM, the officer assigned to this patrol made a motor vehicle stop for a speeding violation on Runnels Bridge Rd.

After making contact with the driver, signs of impairment were detected. Following a roadside investigation, Joseph Pelletier, 55, of Nashua, was placed under arrest for the offense of DUI. He was transported to the Hollis Police Department, where he was processed and released on PR bail with an arraignment date at the 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District.

On March 18, 2023 at approximately 7:40 PM, officers were dispatched to the area of 420 Silver Lake Rd for a report of a moving truck stuck in a snowbank. Officers located the vehicle and identified the driver as Heather Flynn, 51, of Milford. Officers developed probable cause to believe that Flynn was impaired. She was arrested for the offense of DUI and transported to the Hollis Police Department where she was processed and released on PR bail with an arraignment date at the 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District.

Members of the Hollis Police Department wish to remind everyone that impaired driving is not only illegal, but dangerous. Please use a designated sober driver when celebrating.
