Master Patrol Officer Derek Gyles
Officer Derek Gyles began his law enforcement career with the Hollis Police Department on April 9, 2018. He attended Fitchburg State University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Ofc. Gyles also attended and completed the Part-Time Police Academy in the State of Massachusetts and for a period of time, worked as a Part-Time Police Officer for the Hardwick, Massachusetts Police Department. Prior to joining the ranks of the Hollis Police Department, Ofc. Gyles was employed in the retail services field. Ofc. Gyles graduated from the 176th session of the New Hampshire Police Academy and is currently assigned to the Patrol Division. He also serves as a Field Training Officer in the Field Training and Evaluation Program.
