The Hollis Police Department, a nationally accredited law enforcement agency, is now accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Police Officer with a deadline for submission of Thursday, January 10, 2019. Minimum qualifications include: United States citizen, high school diploma or equivalent, must be 21 years of age and the ability to pass a written, physical agility, and assessment test in addition to an extensive background check.  Starting salary for non-certified candidates is $48,033.02. Full-time certified officers are encouraged to apply. Starting salary for full-time certified officers is a minimum of $50,958.24 and $52,486.98 after completion of probation.  New Hampshire Full-Time Certified applicants are waived from the written test.

The Town of Hollis, New Hampshire will pay a one-time bonus of seven thousand, five hundred dollars ($7,500) to any applicant actually hired by the Town who is already certified by the New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Council as a Full-Time Certified Police Officer.  This bonus will be paid by the Town as a stipend, not included in base wages or in the calculation of any pension benefit, at the same time as the applicant’s first regular paycheck as an employee of the Town.

Interested candidates must submit an application, cover letter and resume through PoliceApp no later than 5:00 PM on Thursday, January 10, 2019. All applications must be submitted through our application website; no application material will be accepted via mail or by hand. There will be a $25 application and testing fee due at the time the application is submitted.

Applicants meeting the minimum qualifications will be invited to the first step in the process, the written and physical agility tests, to be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 starting at 9:00AM at the Hollis Brookline High School.  The physical agility test will take place at the Hampshire Hills Athletic Club, Milford, NH.  The Hollis Police Department reserves the right to limit candidates eligible to take the physical agility test to those scoring 70% or higher on the written test. Candidates will be tested at the 35th percentile for physical fitness and the standards can be found at:
