At the April 11, 2022 meeting of the Hollis Select Board, Chief Joseph Hoebeke and Captain Brendan LaFlamme had the honor of recognizing two incredible public servants as part of our Employee Recognition Program.

First, we honored Maintenance Technician Daniel Danahy, who was selected for the Employee Recognition Award for the period July 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021. Dan is truly one of the hardest working members of our team, and he was nominated by a number of his peers for this award given his incredible efforts at overseeing the up-fit of three new police cruisers, even with the complex challenges and delays that were presented. Dan literally saved the Town of Hollis thousands of dollars through his efforts, and did so while continuing to perform his everyday roles and responsibilities with diligence and efficiency.

We also recognized Officer Joshua Hooper as the 2021 Employee of the Year. Since joining the Hollis Police Department in January 2021, Officer Hooper has made his presence felt through his hard work, professionalism, humor, positive attitude, and robust appetite - no kidding, he can EAT! He has worked incredibly hard on a number of investigations, going above and beyond to bring successful case resolutions. He is always willing to assist other officers, provides thoughtful and timely feedback for process improvement, and reflects great credit upon himself, his family, and the Hollis Police Department.

Both Dan and Josh truly do epitomize all that we expect from OUR public servants and through their actions and deeds, they clearly demonstrate a commitment to excellence.

We congratulate both Dan and Josh, and we thank them for all of their hard work!
